Web Pages not loading properly...

Ok. I am on someone elses laptop, running win xp. And it is on dial up (tick tock). Anyways, for some reason the web pages here don't load fully. For example, dvxuser doesn't load the background or show different color text for moderators. Any of that kinda crap. Other pages all do the same thing. It is like a basic load, and some pages have text displaying on top of text. I cannot for the life of me figure out whatever "simple" thing it probably is that I need to uncheck/check to make the pages load fully. Someone care to help me out real quick. I am sick of staring at this white background on dvxuser :)

Might take about an hour depending on the closest store, but you can go and buy a Mac at an apple store

:)

how did I know when I saw your name that your reply would be something like that :) Anyways, I don't think I care to buy a mac for someone else so I can properly view dvxuser. But nice try :)

I do my best! :/

But im sure its a setting with their browser, thats maybe optimizing for the 56k you know what i mean. It would probably take 3x as long to load a page if it wasnt optimized to load for 56k. Try a security section in explorer, or try a different browser like firefox and see if it stays the same.

your problem is the dialup for sure. try downloading firefox and see if it works (but dling firefox will take a long time too.... best bet is to find a better feed). The pages are not loading properly because the computer has some settings to only download basic info. it's probably set up wrong.
