Dreamweaver all the way. Go live is more like GO nuts. Dreamweaver is much more intuitive. Flash is also great, but you need to have a web publisher like Dreamweaver in order to get the most out of flash. I usually use flash to build my website and then use dreamweaver to tweak it and FTP it to my site. http://www.stefweb.net
Dreamweaver all the way. I personally use Fireworks to design and dreamweaver to put it all together. Flash should really be used as minimal as possible.
hmm I don't know. I mean I know Dreamweaver is the best web program out there. but I'm considering buying the adobe creative suite b/c I can get it pretty cheap and that includes GoLive. I've played with flash and I suck at it. I think I jsut suck at all macromedia programs..I find them all really hard to learn.
I have used Golive a few time, but I just don't get it.
The split code/wysiwyg visual layout as said before is a must in dreamweaver. I teach a Internet course of two month with dreamweaver as the main application.
Otherwise I prefer photoshop instead of fireworks for the graphic part. It's not because fireworks is bad. But I'm using photoshop since too long to switch easily.
But all that said. What counts at the end, it what you put in your website.

. . .
Now go up to the "Insert" menu selecter at the very top and choose "Table" and align center for it. Create everything in this table and put everything you do into tables...have your page divided by tabular sections and align each section left, center or right according to what will be in the table and where you want it to spread to as folks with different size monitor resoltions view it.

Ow! Ow! Ow! The CSS Fairy will sneak into your bedroom one night and yank out your toenails for that.
thanks guys, I have downloaded the trial version of dreamweaver and I'll see what I can do with it. I think I'm still going to purchace the adobe creative suite b/c I have a lot of classes that deal with photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.

Ack!!!
Please consider moving away from html tables for layout. It's possible now to create very nice, flexible, dynamic sites without tables by using CSS. I redid my entire site this way and it has become a breeze to maintain and update. If I decide to change the look, it can be as simple as a quick edit in my css rather than edits throughout my site.
damn it...apparently I can't get adobe creative suite now. Looks like Dreamweaver will have to do it. Perhaps I'll get Studio MX. Tho I do need Adobe Illustrator pretty bad.
i bought Studio MX about a month ago with no web design experience at all. It really does become easy after you spend some quality time with it. Like anything, stick with it and you will see your progress grow.
I'm picking up Flash, and have been using the Flash video kit for some projects.
Next I'll be off to CSS land, so I too can be part of the crowd!!!
If you have the trial version of Dreamweaver, you can hurry up and finish your site within the next 30 days before the trial version expires. Of course, you won't be able to update it.
I agree with everyone else that the Macromedia suite is better for the web. However, I like the Adobe suite for print work. I'm fortunate to have both suites installed on my PowerBook.
Dreamweaver definitely definite. I used GoLive a lot before and switched and switched back again to DW because it was more stable and faster plus it integrates with Fireworks well. Even though I do all layout and graphics in Photoshop, I do all the slicing and optimizing in FW because FW is just damn good at compressing images (smaller sizes and they look better - my opinion).
thats sweet. I can't figure out how to do this CSS stuff. Whatever I try to get into it or even a premade design thingy...a thing comes up about site managing or something which I know nothing about.

Nice site.
Quick note though... you mispelled videographer on your site title (<title></title> tag).

YES! Right on! I thought i might have been the only one to do that. The combination of photoshop, fireworks, and dreamweaver IMO is the ultimate three in effective webdesign. Create your images in photoshop, import them into fireworks for the layout and creation of image sections of your site, then import to dreamweaver for content, CSS, and finalizing and publishing of the site. These three things will make websites that look fantastic, function the best, and are the most compatible with the majority of web browsers and computers out there.
I will soon have my site up that demonstrates the power of the three in webdesign... it's important to be w3c standardized though as well... dreamweaver does a better job of creating code from the WYSIWYG and keeping it clean than other programs...
