Web Cam Look

I am trying to take footage shot on a DVX100a and make it look like Web-cam stuff in FCP. Has anyone played with this before and do you have suggestions on how to do this? Any suggested filters or settings? Export as a type of Quick-time .mov file?

Thanks

Dont use FCP that much but here it goes...

try lowering the fps(frames per second) to about 5-15 fps and play with it,

also change the color lower,

lower it to almost black and white,

bring the contrast up a bit,

after all this play with it again with all these settings, find what you like,

nope your not done,

encode it to a lower resolution(320x240 or even 240x180) will give you that pixilated look, do it in uncompressed format

after you can use this footage in whatever your editing

that should do the trick

not that much, seems like a lot but just go step by step, make beilieve your doing it for fun time will go quick

Shoot at 60i with locked off camera and poor lighting (mimic web cam) and then save a copy for the web (low frame rate, low resolution, low quality) Reimport into FCP.
