WD buying Hitachi's hard drive unit

This was discussed on CNBC this morning. Hitachi will still exist and actually own 10% of Western Digital as result of the deal. This is not a situation where WD is absorbing Hitachi and getting rid of the brand. I mainly buy Hitachi drives so I was a bit irritated. Last thing I want to own is WD drives besides the velociraptor series.
