Wayne's World Car!!??

My buddies have an ongoing debate about the car in Wayne's World.

We know it is a car made by the company AMC.....BUT!

Is it a PACER or a GREMLIN?

Through searches on the net they call it a Pacer AND a Gremlin! Which is it? Is GREMLIN just a nickname for a PACER or is it a car commonly mistooken for a PACER?

One of my friends thinks it's a PACER, the other thinks it's a GREMLIN. Anyone with some knowledge and proof to back it up will put a few dollars into the pockets of one of these guys. I just want them to shut the fudge up about it at work.

Thanks.

I remember hearing it's a Gremlin, but don't quote me on that.

All I know is that I'd love a red rope dispenser in my car.

Does anyone have any proof that it is a gremlin? Follow the link I posted above-Why do they think it's a Pacer?

So they ARE the same car, or is it kind of like a GMC Safari and a Chevy Astro?-Pretty much the same, but different brand names.

Sorry, I don't know what a dart or valiant is, I've never seen them before.

Oh geez, that must be a misconception then. Everyone calls it a gremlin, but every resource I've found says it's a pacer. It also seems that these cars, aside from slight body modifications are one in the same. Google "AMC Pacer gremlin" and you'll find that most sites list them side by side. So it'd be easy to mix them up.

I retract my first statement. It is indeed a pacer.

A dodge dart is an unkillable car. After the apocalypse there will only be 2 things left: Cockroaches and Dodge Darts

dj- Can you tell me where you found the site that said there are "slight body modifications?" thanks, Tim.

Totally a Pacer - check the rounded windows over the rear quarters. Gremlins had ginormous blind "louvred" metal c-pillars back there.
