Wax for 35mm adapter

hey, im new to the forum so im not quite sure if this is where i should be posting but i was wondering about the home depot 35mm adapter:

in there it talks about the wax you melt on the uv filter and it talks about how the best type to use is microcrystalline. Would you need a particular color of this wax or would just white work?
