Hey everybody,
I have about 2500 uncompressed wav files I created from FLAC files I ripped from CDs. All the metadata was correct in the FLAC files, and upon output, the WAV files had the correct metadata as well. Now the WAV files are on a server, and now the metadats is not read by some applications. The metadata is read by VLC player both on Windows and Mac. I have been looking all day for a solution to convert the tags in the WAV files to be correct so that they can be read by not just by VLC. I tried using a software called Soundgrinder, and it was able to convert only some of the tags.
Basically, VLC on all the machines can read the tags, anything else I try, can't. I'm doing this for a radio station, so most importantly, the software we use in the studios (BSI Wavecart 4.0) needs to be able to read the tags. BSI uses their own propriety tags, but if I can get the proper format of tags on the WAV files, I could convert it for Wavecart.
Thanks,
Joe
