Watching Eraserhead for the first time...

I've never seen it. And its because of viewer comments like yours that keep me that way. :) Everyone who's ever seen it seems to come away just a bit "disturbed" shall we say? :crybaby:

Scarred me for life. But so did Blue Velvet ... and Wild at Heart ... and anything else Lynch has made.

Blue Velvet...oh man, don't even get me started...one of the main reasons i wanted to start making movies heheh

seen Lost Highway?? another classic

Yeah, Eraserhead is a trip. According to Christianne, Kubrick's widow, Eraserhead was one of his favorites--that and The Jerk.

I love Eraserhead! However, I have never been able to set down and watch all the way through at one sitting. If there ever was a movie that deserved smoke breaks it is that one. My favorite Lynch has to be Wild at Heart.

I am looking forward to his new flick,. INLAND EMPIRE. It should be shown at Cannes this year and roll out from there... I bet it will be the feel good movie of the summer.

Not!

Eraserhead is one of favorite films. So many little things I like in it. My favorite parts are the long awkward uncomfortable silences, like at the dinner table. I'm still trying to figure out why the lady in the radiator has puffy cheeks like that. Very disturbing.

I was watching Eraserhead very late one night, fell asleep in the middle, woke up while it was still on, and felt like I was in purgatory. :zombie_smiley: shudder

Here's something you might not have seen...

On David Lynch's web site, he actually does a daily weather report.

I mean, every day, David Lynch, in person, sits before a web cam, peeks out a window, and delivers a brief report on the weather conditions in L.A.!

I kid you not!

David Lynch is a genius, he operates creatively, without boundaries. Eraserhead was his first film, his short fims are excellent. If you see his interviews he has a very engaging persona.
If you want a trip watch Lost Highway or Blue Velvet.
For any Lynch fans out there I have pretty much everything available, film or media wise that David Lynch has ever put his name to.

Not asking for a hand-out, but rather just curious. Do you have Industrial Symphony #9? That's the only one I was never able to get my hands on. I sure it would scar me too. :crybaby:
