I love a good Romero ZOmbie flic, although Dawn and Night are far superior to Day, but its fun, none-the-less... Who else is a zombie fanatic?! (besides Hudson )
You rang? I love them all. I used to share your opinion of Day when compared to Night and Dawn, but now I find myself liking Day a great deal. Maybe even more than the other two at times. It depends what mood I'm in, I guess.
Now I want to watch Return of the Living Dead. I don't know why, I just do.
I love zombie movies, but for some reason I can't get into the Romero series. I haven't been able to sit through Dawn or Night, or even the Night 1990 remake, I just got bored with them. And it's annoying, because I WANT to like them I've only seen Return of the Living Dead 2, which I thought was really cool, but I'll buy RotLD in due time.
Anybody seen 'Undead', made by a couple of guys in my city. On IMDB it seems some like it, some hate it with a passion. Any opinions on this board?
Have Lions Gate released it yet in the States? Yeah I really like it, although at like the half way mark it starts to blend sci-fi into it which some people might not like (I would have prefered it if it just stayed horror).
haven't seen. Any idea for links to a trailer? I know Hudson has mentioned it, but I'm totally stoked for making a indie zombie. It is my new years resolution. Anyone else want in? I have a great story idea that could encompass many people's work....
I'm all ears. I plan to get working on my own zombie stuff once the damn weather decides what it's gonna do. I swear, one day it's 15F the next... 50F. WTF?
I went to the premiere of it in Brisbane and got everyone's, except Felicity Mason (who plays the lead, René) autograph on the poster, then got it laminated and the ****ing place, ****ed it up! There was dry glue near the top corner and they said, "oh, just iron it under a tea towel and that will melt the glue". It made it WORSE! ARH, reliving painful old memories ;D
When I met the directors they seemed smug and egotistical like, "we edited it on Premiere, high-five guys! we're the best." That annoyed me
oh, the plot involves several groups of people dealing with the zombie situation. In different parts of the country/world and with varying circumstances.... I can give you more detail later...
Yeah, well they didn't actually say that Premiere stuff to me, they said it at the Toronto Premiere (it's on the DVD, Aust. Release anyway) but they seemed like they didn't want to talk to me, as if they were too good to.

You're correct. It was kinda aimed at both.
The problem with the zombie genre is that most of them are shite; yes. even mine. :-/
I love it though; love the end of the world apocalyptic vibe they create. The macabre of the dead walking the earth. Unfortunately, there just aren't that many good ones to watch which kind of gives the genre a bad name to those who havent seen the god ones.
My FAVS in order?
DAY OF THE DEAD
DAWN OF THE DEAD 04
DAWN OF THE DEAD
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD
28 DAYS LATER
ZOMBIE
I watched Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue (aka Let Sleeping Corpses Lie) again a couple nights ago. I really dig that flick. The cinematography really does it for me. Nothing like zombies roaming the English countryside, eh?
