wow 250,000 views in 2 days
and 30 seconds after I got finished watching it, it got yanked.

Crazy job!

I just went to the website where this video originated
and here was the blog post.

------
I sent out an email this weekend advertising a new video about tower climbing. It was a great video and I wish I could show it to you but the person I got it from expressed some concerns about how it reflected on the tower industry and ask me to take it down. So I did. But not to worry, we have agreed to work on more videos in the near future and I am sure they will be as good or better than the one I had to take down.
Sorry if you feel mislead or cheated but it was the only thing I could do.
I will let you all know when we have more videos on tower climbing, hopefully in the very near future. Thanks for tuning in. Russ

Woah. I am so glad I was able to see that before it was taken down. I finished watching a few minutes ago. And I had the same feelings I get when I look over a railing in real life. Crazy stuff. Scary job.

Was it anything like this? I keep getting scared they'll fall, even though obviously the video is complete and I'm assuming they're okay. Would've loved to see them parachute down or come down with a flight suit.

Watching that gave me that insane nervous tingly feeling in my hands and feet.

That guy is nuts.

EDIT- ^ for Nathyn's post

Just saw the original.

Holy Freaking Crap!
At the end my palms were sweaty and I was breathing heavy.

Imagine seeing that in IMAX- It would be like being stuck in a vomitorium.

I'm glad someone else posted this. I just love watching things like this, a different perspective on the world. How often do we get to see the world from a guy free climbing on a tiny pole thousands of feet up with nothing but his hands keeping him from falling?

Man, I was getting a heart attack, especially when he was holding with just one hand at one or two points... even the safety line could have slipped off the little metal pieces at times... you'd think they'd give them an actual ladder the whole way up...

Jeeeeez!

I was a paratrooper and free climber when I was young and did quite some stunts. I never had a problem with hight, but the older I get the more I get sweaty hands just by watching something like that - I wonder why that is.

"now we've reached the base of the antenna. from here it's just another 60 feet to the top."

oh hell nah!

If they could make a movie about arm wrestling, I'll bet someone could write an interesting script around the lives of tower climbers.

How bout…..there's an all-star veteran climber, but in his later years, he's really let himself go and packed on the pounds.

"Boss, you can't go up there, that tower won't support your weight!" (thunder in the distance)
"Never tell me the odds kid. Now hand me my tool bag."
