Was in sync. Closed > reopened. Now out of sync.

OK, I'm having issue's. I've tried FCP rescue and trashed all prefs. I've flushed my renders through the render manager.

First issue is located here:

http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=123982

New issue: I'm working on a music video, and I correctly imported all my footage. Step one was to sync up various tracks and locations to the original music.

I spent an evening doing that, and everything was great. I synced up roughly 20 takes, over four locations, in 7 separate sequence's, and everything was great.

I closed the project and had to do some real work, so set up FCP back to my standard for 29.97 video. Worked a week on a project, and now have some free time to work on the music video.

Open FCP, make sure it's all setup for 23.98 and everything, and not my video tracks don't match my master audio track.

Last week, everything matched. Now, the video tracks seem to be at a faster frame rate or something than the master audio track.

The video tracks "catch up" to the song about half way through, but at the beginning, the video falls behind.

I just don't get it.

Let me repeat hopefully a bit clearer:

I sync my video track to the master audio track, and as it plays through, the video slowly speeds up and makes everything out of sync. Last week when I initially synced everything, this did not happen.

Ryan...

This is unacceptable!! You shouldn't have any of these issues.

Do a complete trash of your preferences.

Use FCPRescue -- google for it and use the version (5 or 6) based on your FCP setup.

Good luck,

HA! Thanks Mench... but alas, I already tried FCP rescue to no avail.

May not be the smartest thing to do, but I just upgraded all FCS apps that I've been putting off, but that didn't work.

I'm going to re-log a section of the original tapes into an entirely new project, throw the audio track down, and see what happens.

I have an awful feeling that I'm going to have to re-log and re-sync all my footage. Oh, well, as long as it works. I just can't think of any other way to fix the unknown issue. I've already opened the clips in Cinema Tools just to analyze, and I can't find anything wrong.

any more ideas are welcome, though...
