Wanted: Private Cloud - Easy Login, sharing and collaboration of files and folders?

Hi folks!

At the moment, i'm sharing files and folders with my clients via Dropbox, we all know the limits, such as capacity and upload speeds, NSA adventures and so on...

I'm searching for a Dropbox alternative, a NAS which is easy to setup, and allows an easy webinterface for clients to login, and allows agencies and clients to upload files.

Does anyone use such a System that way?
What Brand or Product would you recommend?

Any info is greatly appreciated, cheers!

there are raid systems which might suit - Synology has a series of servers where you can set up a VPN

You still have to consider upload & download speeds & limits but it may be worth a look

thanks, my current options seem to be synology, westerndigital, buffalo, zyxel - to name a few.

but which one to get? ease of use for the customer is my biggest concern with those systems... it only makes sense to get one if it can be handled by a noob.

speeds will be fine, my upload speed is faster than the average users download speed.

Run your own FTP server, it's not that hard. I use FileZilla.
