I want to purchase After Effects. Ive never used this software before.

Im using PP. Which version of AE is the latest.

Anyone know of a non-registerd copy for sale?

thanks,
Jeff

There's a new version of AE coming soon so wait if you can. If you want a second hand copy I guess look for AE pro 7.

Is AE a program just for effects, or is it also a complete editing program such as Premiere?

the video components of CS3 aren't shipping til July... the design/image stuff (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) are shipping April 20th.

Downsouth, check out the links that are stickied at the top of the AE section here. Great tutorials and they can give you an idea of what you can do with AE.

The commercials you see that look like cartoons, or posterized , but using real footage....how do they do that? Posterizing does not work. It looks like a combination of color replacement and posterizing to give the "cartoon" effect.

Wondering if AE can produce that effect.

Thanks for the comments,
Jeff
