Wanna know which cameras were used to shoot this year's Sundance entries?

[vanvideo]

Here's a list. Lots of DSLRs, specifically Canons. Very few film cameras anymore.

This list is incomplete, as I know "Upstream Color" was shot with the Panasonic GH2.

Upstream Color

Upstream Color -- first film from Shane Carruth since 2004's Primer

Coming to a theater near you in April. I will definitely have to check this out when it comes to Toronto...

Nobody uses video cameras anymore?

[Chris Adler]

The vixia is a consumer video camera.

[Jon Neely]

I thought there had to be at least one!

An EX3 is pretty much a video camera. There were several entries. In a sense an Alexa or an Epic is also a video camera, but I think I know what you mean. Lots of docs are still shot on "one piece" video cameras with built-in lenses.
