G'day I'm from Australia and am shooting an instructional Wakeskiing DVD.
Now, this DVD will be distributed in the U.S aswell as Australia (PAL and NTSC respectively), now before I run some tests, I would just like ask some advice on the best way to shoot this, in regards to PAL and NTSC region formats.
I'm using 3 cameras, 2 Sony Z1P's and a Panasonic HVX202 (BOTH CAMERAS PAL). Now, the Sony's, I have being given advice to shoot them in NTSC (using NTSC recording format feature), and the HXV202 will be used for 50fps slo mo stuff, to be shot in PAL . Then, for conversion, simply convert the Z1P's footage into PAL, and the HXV202's into NTSC.
Im about to undergo some tests for this shoot, to see how the conversions go and to see if the PAL 50fps on the HVX202's will retain its smooth appearance.
This post is just to hopefully get some advice from anyone who has done similar shoots in the past and maybe I can learn from their mistakes. Any replies will be much appreciated,
