I read where the conspiracy was that one reason we never hear of it is the Warner/Time/AOL connection. Their probally not to eager to advertise they are being sued for a gazillion dollas...

Ok, that article in the prestigious Salt Lake City Community College web site looks like an almost verbatim version of of a press release put out by Sophia Stewart, the plaintiff.  She has a rambling kook web site and is selling CD's of herself being interviewed.  I wouldn't doubt that she's suing a bunch of folks, but by itself, that doesn't mean anything.  

Time Warner AOL has plenty of competing media corporations that would love to take them down a notch, but apparently none so shoddy as to jump on this "story" just yet.  Not counting a lazy editor in Salt Lake City that is busy relabeling press releases as news stories.

But this could all be a sick rumor.

I never pay attention to this kind of stuff for the same reason I never watch Entertainment Tonight, It could be (as Woodson pointed out) a sick rumor. Even if it were true, to me it is the artwork/films made that deserve critique not the mans personal doings. The list of artists who produced outstanding work who had questionable personal lives would overload this forum. IMHO the man can mutate into a two headed plough horse, it's not important. When that same horse makes a film that breaks the box office, Ive got stuff to talk about. I knew someone once who burnt his whole Queen collection when Freddy Mercury died cos he never knew he was gay.!!!

I don't think anyone's been trans-gender-phobic (sp?) here, and I totally agree... "the work's the thing".

BTW - the Queen Album burner -- what a prat! What a Nazi! And what a waste! (Couldn't he have just sold them on ebay?!) ;D

I am so ridiculously paranoid about telling people my ideas...because I've got some GOOD ones...but I don't want them to get jacked. But then again, my intellectual property morals aren't that strong :-/ bceause I certainly haven't totally been ethical in that arena...but maybe that's why i keep quiet. If you spill it, then don't be surprised when someone jacks it...
I was offered a slot in a pitchfest at a film festival once with some minor guys from some major studios...but I didn't want to pitch my ideas, because what's to keep someone from liking the idea, but giving the me the boot anyway??

Nobody will steal your script.

But they absolutely will steal your ideas.

Turn your ideas into a tangible copyrightable form (such as a screenplay or at the bare minimum a treatment) and document every meeting you have with someone, and every time you hand over a copy...
