WA Converter / Schneider Optics - DVX vs HVX

The Schneider 1.6x tele is great.

The 16x9 .75x wide-angle delivers a very nice, sharp, wide picture. But it's not inexpensive, it's around $900.

The Century .6x wide-angle delivers a good sharp picture, with a whole lot of barrel distortion. It is limited zoom through but it's also much less expensive too.
 
Thanks Barry. I've been shooting a lot of car racing and on a 3 mile track I need all the reach I can get so I have been really looking towards getting that. I'm just hoping the client will pay for it.. or that I can get a few more gigs that would benefit from this. I also think that the DOF for other things would be really darn cool. Does it cut down on the light alot?


Thanks for all the info... Where does the bootcamp series take you next? How was India?
 
Next is probably Los Angeles; we haven't been able to make the northwest work so we will probably go back to L.A. India was flat-out amazing...
