VX2100 Live Video

This is a video I shot and edited over the weekend for a local death metal band. The way the VX handeled the pressure of low stage lighting was absolutely incredible!

I'm launching a modestly priced video production business, do you think that video is passable for a band's live song?

The uncompressed 1.2gb version is obviously crystal clear, but terms of the way it's been edited, does it look decent?

It's 55 megs, but it's the closest I could get to keeping passable sound and visual quality compared to the 1.2gb uncompressed version.

It is passable, but there is WAY too much flashing going on there. I don't know who your target clients are, but I'd recommend losing about 100% of the flashing. I don't think you need the film FX either. For a demo I say show off your skills, not your plugins.

The song (hey, we can't help but critique the songs around here!) also isn't what I'd show a client. You probably don't want to annoy them during your demo, or do anything to cause them to not focus 100% on the product.

It looks like you have what it takes to make a great video, I would just try not to distract people from what you are really selling (yourself)!

...then again, your clients may be other local death metal bands -- and if they've got money then maybe this is exactly what they want to see.

Oh, the client was the band :p They wanted to have a sort of B-Movie look to it, hence the old film effect.
