I'm trying to find a way to get a good teleconverter on a limited budget and was wondering how good of an idea would it be to take the Century Optics 2x Teleconverter for the VX1000 and put it on the DVX100 via a 58mm step down ring.
This way I think I'd spend about $300-$350 total. Does anyone know if this teleconverter is any good (http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=CEDS20TC00)? I'm hoping that since it's Century Optics its high quality.
Also, if any of you guys have tried something like this (teleconverter + step down/up ring on the DVX100) could you let me know how it worked? I've found a couple posts in the forums about doing this but nothing too extensive.
