VTS Files--how do you convert them?

[Existentialist]

Can someone please tell me of any good free software program available on the net that will convert dvd footage (VTS_VOB files) to useable footage that can then be imported into Sony Vegas...? Because obviously Vegas can't digitize straight from DVD...
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!

If you have a fast enough DVD drive, you can lift the VOB files straight off the disc and onto your Vegas 6 timeline.

It'll be pretty miserable if you have a slow drive, though.
