VTS Anyone?

Hi Guys,

I was asked to render a short :30 promo as VTS. I'd never heard of it so I googled
it and came up with VTS = Video Title Set. From what I'm gathering from the
article it's referring to DVD specifications. Below is what was listed on the site.

My question: Has anyone ever been asked to submit a video promo as VTS? I'm at
a loss as to what she's asking for but it seems to me she's asking for a DVD?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mark

A DVD-compliant Video Title Set is composed of the following files:

1. VTS_nn_0.IFO consists of control and playback information for the video title set nn (where nn is from 1 to 99). This file is required to be present on each VTS.

2. VTS_nn_0.VOB contains the contents required for the root menu and other predefined VTS menus of the video title set nn (where nn is from 1 to 99). This file is not required and may or may not be present (or have a zero file size) on a DVD-compliant disc. Data structures stored in this file belongs to the Video Title Set Menu (VTSM) domain.

3. VTS_nn_n.VOB contains the contents required for all titles present in the video title set nn (where nn is from 1 to 99, and n is from 1 to 9). At least one file VTS_nn_1.VOB is required in the VTS and each VTS_nn_n.VOB file can have a maximum file size of 1 GBytes. Contents stored in these files make up the program streams in the title domain.

4. VTS_nn_0.BUP is an identical copy of VTS_nn_0.IFO. If the DVD player cannot read information from the VTS_nn_0.IFO, it will attempt to get the required information from this backup file. This file is required to be present on a DVD-compliant disc.

I am no expert on this matter, so correct me if i am wrong.

A dvd consists of VTS and VOB files. A VTS file links the VOB (which is te video) together. The VTS is nothing more then the link between the VOB files.

I think they want a dvd OR you misunderstood something and they mean something else with "VTS" (not the fileformat)

As I said, I am no expert, so I could be mistaken...
