Has anyone used the VP2 KEEPITDRYCASE.COM for filming on a sailboat with the HVX200?
I have looked at the alternatives available for protecting my camera and this seems like the best choice with cost and usefulness in mind.
- the Kata and the Petrol PRC-PA are a bargain at $85 but the camera wouldn't survive a drop in the salt water or spray/wave coming from the side of a sailboat.
- a rental of the Gates underwater housing at around $450 a day is not in the budget let alone a purchase for $6800.
so the VP2 is the alternative to go with at $550. The only thing is to find out the recommendations of user of the VP2. They claim it will protect the camera up to, or should I say down to 1 atmosphere (33 ft).
Does anyone use it and does it really protect the camera from the ravages on electronics that Oceanspray can inflict?
Thanks,
David Bruno
