voigtlander 58mm review

I'm interested in this lens. Anyone wanna grab one and do a shoot-out between the Nikon 50mm 1.4 and Voigtlander 58mm 1.4?

Am I gonna have to do it!? I'm so extra broke.

Really like the lens! Any idea where I can order it for Europe?

Evidently, the first production run of this lens has already sold out and more aren't expected for at least another month from the retailers here in the U.S.

However, I just bought and received a brand new one from an eBay store; super fast shipping straight from Japan and only slightly more expensive than I could have gotten one from a U.S. distributor. Just do a search on 'Voigtlander 58mm 1.4' The particular eBay powerseller I bought from starts with 'M'...

I'll be testing it out over the next week or so and will post my impressions when I'm done.

Hey Leo!

So how is your lens?
Any pictures to share?

I am close to buying this lens as well, so it would be great to hear your impressions!

Nevermind, mine just came in, a German store had still a few of them in stock.

The built quality of the lens is very good, looking forward to seeing how it will perform. The focus throw seems perfect for adapter work! :)

Hallo :)

Unfortunately I don't own a Nikon still camera yet (just sold all my Canon equipment). Hopefully by the end of next week I can post some framegrabs with the SGPRO 3 +flip and the FX1.
