Voice Over Review

Hello,

I am back again, would love some feedback on the audio of a project that I am working on. What do you think? Does it sound good enough? What would it make it sound GREAT.

(I recorded with a sennheiser mkh416, but a mistake I prolly made, was that I was really close to the mic, too close, like 2 cm off the mic, something I will not do again in the future). And applied multiband compressor etc in Premiere. Manually leveled the entire track.

thanks a lot!

To my untrained ears sounded good. Yeah I picked up on what you said being too close. The closer you get the more bass, anything closer than a couple of inches it becomes muffled unless it's a dynamic mic. (don't know the metric conversion)

Unrelated to the voice the ending could be improved you hold too long on the hands you can see them shaking and then face following ends to abruptly. Needs a transition fade to black or quick cut with a sound effect to add closure.

thanks Peter! Yes, gonna overlay the ending with the subscribe button on the hands. Maybe it is a bit too long, need to check out what the normal time is for the sub ending.
If there are any parts I need to revoice let me know!

Thanks a lot!

I watched to the end, which is rare for me. I got used to your voice. The tone of it is fine - whatever mic technique you used was no issue for me. Some words jumped out - maybe the pronunciation?

thanks Paul! Yes I often find myself in the edit, listening to what I say, and there are def words in there that I mis pronunciate. I try to cover it up with with text overlays. And that is for the words that I know, for all I know there are lots of words that I think are right, but are wrong :)

I would add more presence, however that would make the sibulence more of a problem than it already is. I suppose it is usable though the way it is. Try and different preamp and/or mic next time,
The 'delivery' sounds ok to me.
