Voice-Over For Hire Websites?

[Macphilia]

Hey Folks,

Any of you have a voice-over for hire site to recommend? Seems like Voices.com is a big one.

I'm simply looking for recommendations, since I've never utilized a site before.

Thanks!

Can't recommend any. I tried Voice123 for a year and found myself wasting time sending bids out. Way too many competitors willing to do a VO for 20 bucks. Some of them even talented.

Really? How long ago were you on? They have budget filters on the site now. Those jobs are usually there for those who want them.

This is their youtube channel for some v123 booked voice work: http://www.youtube.com/voice123voiceovers

This was a couple years ago, so maybe things are better now.

Hey Terry, I have always wanted to ask you how much Jimerson paid you to put his link in your sig? Since 3 people will see this it's ok to spill the beans.

wow. that site gives me the impression that it's a wickedly competitive business to get into. like, umm, voice talent are a dime a dozen.

VO work is crazy competitive, especially since you have people reading into a USB mic from their closet, editing in Audacity, and undercutting everyone else's rates.

So it's pretty much like the rest of post production now that the tools have gotten cheaper and cheaper.
