Voice Over Effects in Final Cut Pro?

Hi,

I know this is a little DIY but I was wondering how one could quickly improve a VO using the sound effects included in FCP? I know it's a thousand times more complicated than this, but is there any quick solution, ie compress it to x and eq it to y?

THANKS!

Mike

I get great quality using a Blue Snowball mic. I record using Quicktime at maximum quality. I open the .mov file in Soundtrack Pro, I set noise print over a "silent" portion of the VO, then select through the VO and reduce noise. Sounds great!

I don't care to record VO with FCP's VO tool, but you could do a similar workflow there. Soundtrack Pro has powerful EQ filters, but for best results, you should play with them while looping the audio you want to improve.

Good luck!
