VMS10 - Audio levels - Voice vs. Music Ramping ???

Trying to sort out how to ramp the music and voice levels up and down versus each other. When there's some voice over I want to bring up, I need the music level to go down and visa versa.

If I do a fade it's from zero up to a level or from that level back to zero. I need to ramp down to a level then ramp back up after the voice track is finished.

In Vegas I can't sort out what they call that function or how it's done. I've been searching everywhere, but what ever I'm calling it doesn't come up with anything to do with what I need. I'm sure it's a type of cross fade, but VMS seems to only want to go one way.

You are looking for Volume Envelopes. Highlight your audio track, Insert Menu - Envelopes - Volume. Double click on the blue line to add anchor points, drag the line up and down to adjust the gain.
