Vmount or Dtap to Jumper Cables?

Jump starters need 300-400 amps typically. That battery is 12 Ah. You'd need about 3 dozen in parallel to successfully jump start your car.

I would imagine you'd need some kind of extra device to go between the battery and the car. Typical LiPo batteries can deliver 1.5 * capacity, so 1.5 * 12 Ah = 18 amps max. You would need at least 400 amps to jump start a car so you'll want some other device to charge up and deliver that current over a short period. You'd also want to regulate the voltage down closer to 12 V.
I'm sure you could buy a jump starter device and then use this battery to charge that device if necessary.

My model rocket club owns a number of 18AH 12V SLA batteries for our launch system, and in a pinch, I've used one several times to jump start my van. It cranks a little slowly but has always worked successfully. I can get about three starts out of one before it needs to be recharged. But those batteries are capable of delivering a lot more current than a lithium or NiMH system, which I would be afraid to try in that application.

Many D taps are fused at 5 amps. What you can do is use the battery to charge your flat car battery and disconnect before trying to start it. Slower, but will most likely work unless the car is dead flat.

Interesting, I see a lot of battery jumpers so figured there had to be a way to convert the vmount but I guess they are made to give a big jult

The all-in-one machines are pretty cheap if you ever consider them.

I bought the one below to charge camera batteries (via AC/charger) in places with no power (or power that's not available for me), and the machine also has built-in jumper cables for car batteries, an air compressor for tires/sports balls, Apple & Samsung USB ports (there's a technical difference), and a pretty powerful light (and maybe something else I'm missing).
