viwer as HD tv

I have my 22in dell as a primary monitor for FCS 2 and I just hooked up a 26 inch 720p TV through VGA and I want to find a way to make it my FCP viewer. I click and dragged the viewer over and made it full screen but its still like 30% gray. I want to try and get it to be a full screen preview. What would I have to do in the settings to get this?

Set VIEW>PLAYBACK to DIGITAL CINEMA PREVIEW...Then go VIEW>EXTERNAL>ALL FRAMES (Apple-F12).

It won't be broadcast quality, but it will be decent.

thanks that worked well. Any recomendations for calibrating the TV to get it as close as I can?

Load up color bars and do the best that you can...

Your TV will lack many of the controls, including the very helpful BLUE ONLY, but this should help.

Although you can use a full CTB piece of filter to look through. It works.

Thanks I will give this a try. If it doesnt work without the blue gun setting I will see if I have a ctb that size. Thanks guys.
