Vivitar 285HV color temperature?

Hey Peeps,

Considering getting one of these love-hate em flashes. Heard some good, heard some bad things but heard a lot of quality control problems. Anyways. whats the color temperature of these flashes? Considering mixing in with my 580 EX II.

PS - Any below 30 dollar Optical slaves you can recommend as well.
 
They should be very close to your 580. I had a vivitar 283 that seemed to be spot-on daylight, so these should be close. A lot of skate photogs use them with pocket wizards.
