Visual thesaurus/dictionary -- cool, unique

Check this out:

A friend just shared it with me, very unique, cool. A neural network display graphical dictionary / thesaurus. For example, type in a word such as 'evil' in the search box, then watch the graphical neural network type of visual display is quickly formed to show the word, related words, definitions, etc. Or just click the link below to see the example search on the word 'evil':

(Why evil? I suppose because I am writing a feature screenplay right now about evil, a supernatural horror.) You can even click and move nodes around, zoom in and out, create word association maps to view and print, etc. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but unique to say the least. Worth a look if you are bored, lol. ~randall

Thanks, it works a little differently to an ordinary thesaurus, and I can see it being useful when brainstorming for different angles.

I used to have a screenwriting software program called Sophocles, the beta was a free download, I have it somewhere but I think I lost the free unlock code. Anyhows, Sophocles would do a similar graphical / visual map of all the characters in the screenplay-- with the size of the circles proportionate to the characters' importance, and would show the interconnectedness of each of the characters. I wish commercial screenwriting software would do that. Sophocles went off the radar last year, I suspect it got bought out because it was actually better than Movie Magic or Final Draft imho. Or maybe Sophocles will reappear under a new name, a new product, my wish.

Since the visuwords applet is free to embed in websites, etc, maybe Movie Magic, Final Draft, etc. might embed it as a tool in their software as a sort of visual thesaurus tool? Just a thought.

Oh, that's just the sh*t. Am I the only one finds that unutterably cool?
