Visual Effects for Directors...

Wow, that looks really cool. I have spent several months learning as much as I can about VFX by experimenting and reading stuff online, and still there is so much more to learn, having it all in one place will bet a real bonus, and I think that is a pretty good deal.

looks like you can learn more from this then in a college course too based on the trailer. i like that these guys have been working on it 4 years. gives the impression they know their stuff.

Sweet. Just placed my pre-order :-)

I've seen the Camera Work DVDs by these guys. If this new set matches that quality, it'll be well worth it :-)

Chris, they only just started shipping the DVDs today, so no, not yet. I do have my tracking number, though :-)

Just got my set of DVDs :)

More than 11 hours worth of content :Drogar-Dum(DBG): I'll try to post my thoughts on them in a few days time.

Cheers.

Guys, if you haven't bought the Visual Effects for Directors DVD set yet. Get it! it's really a great product. It teaches you techniques, and processes, and is in no way software specific. which is great.

After this you will know how to shoot on set to ensure the visual effect will work in post. Also you will understand how all these things fit together, and how to do them, the post work is explained, but again as I said technique-wise, not software wise, so you can use what you learn and use what you've got.

You'll learn why something will work or not work, so you understand the concept.

these DVD's are really awesome.
