VisionColor LUT compatible with Sony Vegas Pro 12?

I downloaded the free VisionColor LUT for Sony Vegas from their website. It states that you can convert (Panasonic) CineD footage to REC709 for grading.

I successfully installed it on PC and in Pro 12 the VisionColor LUT shows up in Vegas fx.

The fx dialogue box shows an option for "Filename":

Preset drop-down remains only as default and in "Filename" I tried pasting in a LUT file name that's on my PC but nothing happened.

But in a website tutorial it shows a "Browse" button to add a LUT:

Due to the absence of the browse button, do you think Pro 12 is just not compatible with this VisionColor LUT or is there something I'm overlooking?

Not at all familiar with it, but it seems like it was developed for Vegas 13, so there might be compatibility issue with 12. They monkeyed with a few things under the hood for 13, so it's possible.

It does work with 12 if you manually enter filename, but you have to put the full path. So if you have a LUT named 'test.cube' in a folder called 'LUTS' on the C:, you'd have to put ' c:\LUTS\test.cube ' in the filename field.

Thanks.. is this something you've successfully done with Pro 12?
I tried pasting in a LUT file location, hit enter and nothing happens.

Yup, I normally use 13 now, but I have tried it in a pinch in 12 and it worked fine.

It could possibly be the LUT you're trying to load. I know that some of the film ones that came bundled with DaVinci Resolve don't seem to work with VisionColor in Vegas, they paste in, but make no difference to the image.

Just tried it again in 12 to make sure I wasn't crazy. The pasted location of the LUT was: ' c:\Heulandite - Generic Log.cube ' just a free LUT that I downloaded from https://lutify.me/free-luts/
