Viral media

Hey guys,

I work with a lot of viral media: crappy clips taken off the web. I just started working with FCP and find that the clips skip and don't run properly when I inflate them to project-size. Has anyone else had this experience and know a way around it, like a specific format conversion that will make the clip play better?

What codecs were they before import, what codecs did you use for the exports, how large are the files, what machine are you on, how much RAM?
