VINTEN Vision 5

Hey guys,

Anyone out there with a Vinten Vision 5 head. I just got one without a Pan Handle, and damn, I just can't seem to find the right size screw to fit in the threads of the head.

Went to the hardware store and tried all the different sizes. (and tried on both sides, even metric sizes) Am I missing something here?

Does Vinten have custom screw threads on their head for their Pan Handles????

Closest I got was 5/16" - 18 (something like that)

Ok. just answered my question. finally got a hold of the guys at vinten. So for those who are wondering, it would be a 5/16"-22 BSF?

Aparently this is a common size in the UK. Not sure it it can be found here. I'm sure it can. I'll try to find it.

Bit late, but did you manage to get hold of one of these? Was that the right size?

I need one and am wondering whether to just get one made up locally.
