Vinten touch pro 9

I can get my hands on an Vinten touch pro 9 tripod with 100mm bowl. Is this a good tripod for a setup with long lens and camera (about 6 kg 14 pound?).
Any opinions?

thanks

I worked for a production company on a shoot. They supplied that head with a set of non Vinten sticks. I was impressed....super smooth....balanced perfectly.
I have Sachter now but if I was starting over, Vinten would be high on my list.

I can find little information about the vinten toug pro 9 head, it seems a manfrotto clone, not a real fluid head. Or am I wrong?

It has been a long time since I got to use it but I don't believe it could have been anything less than a fluid head. Actually, I don't know if Vinten has ever made anything but fluid heads!

They get a lot of respect.

While I have never used that particular Vinten head, I really dislike the "change out the counterbalance spring" design of some of their other heads. Do you have to change out the counterbalance springs on this model? If so, that would rule it out for me, my tripod heads get used for the C100 MKI bare, C100 MKI full shoulder mounte, Zacuto EVF and Ninja Blade, C300 MKI full kitted out and rental C300 MKIIs. Changing counterbalance springs would be a PITA everytime I need to switch cameras.
