Has anyone out there used the Vinten Pro5? According to the Vinten website, this unit is not available in the US, but there's a seller on eBay who carries it. I've liked the Vintens that I've used in the past, but those have all been high dollar models.
if I am not mistaken the PR05 is actually a Bogen 501 head and I have to assume that the legs are also OEM from Bogen/Manfrotto. I actually had the chance to compare the PRO5 and the 501 head in Hong Kong side by side and at leas the head is identical.
Interesting. Now that I look at them side by side, the Vinten is a dead ringer for the Bogen 501 head /3283 leg combo. I used to own a 501 head and didn't particularly like it. Thanks for the heads up.
