Vingetting Problem - Please help!!

I shot some footage this past weekend that went really well, looked great, sounded great. We checked out the dailies with my panasonic deck hooked up to my tv, everything looked great. Then I captured all of my clips and went back to edit, and there is noticable vingetting. It wasn't noticable when shooting, wasn't noticable on my tv, so why is it now showing up in FCP, and what are my options to fix it?

One of the actors we used traveled several states to shoot with us for the weekend, and is not able to make the trip back up for reshooting, so I'm going to have to use the footage I have.

Do I have options of cropping and resizing the footage [I know I'll lose resolution], or will it play on all tvs with the sides already cropped?

I'll take anything you can throw at me. Thanks in advance!!

One word: titlesafe. might be 2 words. Might be picture safe. you are seeing this cuz the final cut canvas or viewer is showing you the whole image, whereas on your tv or other viewing monitors, that whole image isn't seen.

easy way to check if you are okay: click on view on top tool bar. Click a check beside "show titlesafe". If your vignetting is outside the outside box, you will never see it on a television or any other properly set up viewer.

If you are worried about it showing up on internet versions, just crop the compressed version you plan to show online. leaving your original intact.

your lcd and eyepiece are framed for titlesafe as far as i know. so if you can't see it on there when you are shooting, you should be cool for future viewing.
