Hey guys,
My name's Nick DeMao and I'm currently in a research position at the Georgia Institute of Technology regarding online communication. My partner and I have elected to study Vimeo -- particularly as an environment for filmmakers, how it differs from other sites, and the mentality of its participants in regards to Vimeo as a tool, third place, and hosting website.
What we're looking for is willing participants to answer a few questions via a phone call (pry about 10 minutes) which we'll use in a final summation of Vimeo as an online community. There is nothing you gain from this personally, no compensation of any kind. I repeat: NO COMPENSATION. This is purely a research project that we need your opinions on that may be published.
If you're interested, PM me. If not, I understand. This project does follow by IRB standards and you'll be asked to fill out a consent form prior the interview.
Any help would be great and anyone with experience using Vimeo and/or its forums are welcome to participate.
Thanks again, guys/gals.
