Vimeo Full Screen Issues

I wasn't sure where to put this, but when clicking the full screen option on a Vimeo video, it is full screen within my browser window, but not the entire computer screen. This wasn't the case only a few days ago. I'm using Safari on a Mac. Is this occurring on someone else's computer?

EDIT: I tried watching a video on Firefox, and the full screen option took over the entire computer screen. But Safari does not.

This has happened to me as well. First I thought I accidentally changed a setting within Safari. FInding nothing, I next checked settings on my Vimeo profile. Nothing. I've since posted twice on their forums, the first topic being locked and marked "resolved" with the suggestion of "push play first and then fullscreen the video". That's the way I've always played media on Vimeo. I've posted another forum topic on Vimeo and have heard back for the second time the same remedy. I'm not sure what else to do. Your right about it working fine in Firefox. Have you figured out how to fix this?

looks like it's something they changed. the HTML5 video player, unlike the flash player, by default cannot do actual full screen. it takes some additional coding to make an HTML5 video player go full screen and it looks like Vimeo updated/downgraded something that removed that functionality in Safari. I bet if you were to return to the Flash version of their player, full screen would still work.
