Vimeo and YouTube from 720/24pn projects in Vegas?

Anyone have the proper export properties handy for HD for Vimeo and YouTube from Sony Vegas?

I found more than one tutorial, but they all feature 30 frame settings instead of rendering for a 720 / 24pn project.

I've rendered and uploaded a WMV9 file, which plays back fine in WMP. When it is uploaded and encoded on both YouTube and Vimeo, the audio uncouples from the video at precisely the same spot. About fifteen seconds into the six-minute piece.

If anyone has some guidance for this popular resolution / framerate, we should make this sticky!

Thanks,

e

Originally, I was trying to do WMV9 at 320 x 180, IVTC (23.976) but I'm not sure I had any settings right to be honest with you.

Now, after reading that tutorial in another thread, I think I could cut down on the encode time by posting what Vimeo really wants to see. A few questions about 1280 x 720 24pn projects though?

I was going to try and change her recommended framerate to 23.976 for the 720/24pn project. I'm assuming that is what she was talking about, but maybe Vimeo wants to see 30fps?

Vimeo cannot stream 30p, at least not for HD files. So your 23.976 is correct. However, I've had much better success rendering out .mp4 from either the sony or mainconcept encoder. I've gone back and forth, and after comparing what I had from my uncompressed master and the Sony mp4 codec, I am sticking with that one for now.

I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.

Say, do you still have a Land Rover? I'm in a D2 right now.
