Vignetting...Not seen on the DVX100 LCD screen but I can see it on external monitor

I can see vignetting on the external monitor but there is no vignetting on the LCD screen. By vignetting I mean the black borders that you see on the ground glass. We usually zoom in until that is gone, and I do that but there is a discrepancy on what I see in the LCD and what I see in the external monitor. It's as if the monitor is showing more than the LCD so I see parts of the black edges from the ground glass picture. So does the LCD not show everything? Should I zoom it in more and go with what the external monitor sees? I have the Standard Definition Ikan monitor.

Thanks,

Marvin

DVX100 LCD doesn't show you the complete raster. Big drag. The monitor is more re;liable but you should even check the Ikan against a more expensive reliable monitor to sdee if that is showing the full image. My original Marshall still didn't show the complete image though more than a DVX would.

On the DVX the indentation running around the LCD screen is pretty close to the edge of the recorded frame, so just imagine the screen extended to that point.
