Vignetting issue with adapter

When my adapter is not connected to my camera, but the lens is on the adapter, the ground glass I use captures a very nice image, nice and crisp. And when I look at the GG there doesn't seem to be vignetting, but when I put my eye right up to the adapter it changes, the same when I put the camcorder up to the adapter. The image is definitely NOT crisp, but ugly and soft, and I get a horrible vignette.

If I can get together enough cash, I'm really, really considering getting a Letus!
 
Sounds like you need a macro lens, or a more powerful macro than what you're currently using.
