So i get the Brevis flip. I shot some tests and i noticed a touch of vignetting. I dont have a problem with it. But say i did have a problem, how do you correct this? By the way i am using a hvx200 with a nikon 28mm 2.8 lense on the brevis flip.
On some of my lenses (Nikons, Pentax, Zeiss, & Canon I have a real mixed bag) I too need to zoom way in on the brevis flip to negate the vignette. These are all fairly fast lenses by the way 2.0 or faster.
If i were to get a NIKON 24mm. Will it give me a wider shot so if i had to zoom in past the vignetting i would still have a reasonable wide shot? Since the 28mm you have to zoom way too far in?
By the way I`ve experimented quite a bit with different camcorder settings and one thing that improved the vignetting problem was turning off or as flat as possible all in-camera contrast settings. When as flat as possible image is there is slightly less vignetting.
I have a Canon FD 24mm f2 just because of that extra zoom-in room btw.
And sure when one masks 16:9 footage to 240 it vignettes even less.
