Viewing multiple wav lines (urgent)?

So I've had Premier Pro CS4 for a while now, and I'm finally ditching my old Vegas Movie Studio to edit on it. I've run into a big problem, though, in that I can't seem to bring up the (visual wav line) audio file at the same time as my separate recorded audio.

I need to be able to view the audio the camcorder recorded and the audio the actual recorder captured simultaneously for synching purposes.

In my old program both showed their wav lines right there in the timeline. Now I have to nest and double click on the audio, at which time the wav lines appear in a separate box at the top -- which does nothing to help me.

I need both the camcorder's audio and the new audio recording both to exhibit their wav lines in the actual timeline so I can line them up accordingly.

Please, please help! I'd hate to have to go back to Movie Studio because of something so minor!!

Thanks!!

Stretch out the individual audio tracks vertically and the waveform will start to show up. They disappear when you have them at the standard size.

Just tried your suggestion and still nothing. It's just a greenish rectangle with the title of the file on it. I tried nesting it and unnesting it. I even used the magnifying glass to try and stretch it further. I must be missing something, something I need to do to change the audio from a green block to wav information...

Any ideas?

Lower left corner of the audio track there is an option called "Display style" (looks like a rectangle with waveform on it). Click on it and make sure the "Show waveform" is selected.

I see that for Audio 1, but I'm in Audio 4 with my wav files, and that box isn't there.

Also, while I can see the wav lines in Audio 1 (the audio that came with the camcorder), it's EXTREMELY tiny. I can't seem to (actually) ZOOM IN. Zooming in just makes them stretch wider; it doesn't enable me to see the camcorder's wav lines more clearly.

Set your sequence settings for audio to display "audio samples"
In the timeline fly-out menu, checkmark "show audio time units"
Right click the counter to show "audio samples" instead of milliseconds
Now zooming in the timeline should show the waveform with more accuracy

Waveforms don't show up in the timeline or in the preview window until the clip has been conformed. You might have to wait a while before seeing it.
