Viewfinder for LCD: have you ever used it?

I dont know that model but such devices can be extremely handy for small camera rigs.

Back in the day I enjoyed shooting with that, a 5d2 and 24-105, a versatile and agile setup that worked in bright sun.

Can you seggest a precise model and brand? Thanks

I hate to tell you but I'd go for whatever Zacuto makes. Yes, it will be expensive but my experience with all the LCDVFs and similar things is they just don't stay put. Magnets, straps, glue, it's all no good after a short time. Zacuto stuff just works.

If Zacuto had the possibility to do shots from below I would buy it. But is seems only GGS - Swivi S5 loupe has this option. Do you understand what I mean?

An LCD viewfinder isn't necessary with mirrorless cameras, because they have built-in electronic viewfinders. I used an LCD viewfinder with my DSLR because it's mirror got in the way of the optical viewfinder in video mode, rendering it useless while shooting video.

But I will shoot in Africa where there is a lot of light. With a viewfinder I will have the opportunity to see the LCD screen in an enlarged way, as if I had a TV monitor. If I will remove the back of the viewfinder I can see better on the LCD screen because there are the fins to repair the sun. Until today I have always had a lot of problems because I was never able on the LCD screen for a lot of light. I hope to resolve that problem with a viewfinder.

Friends, I need to find an enough fast solution for my GH5 to make video. I am going to Africa where there are sunny days. Many times I shoot with the camera at the hips and I can't see inside the EVF. I was thinking to buy Vary-i loupe for GH5, but before I need to know your experiences with it. It is a little expensive and I don't like to throw away money. I know GH5 LCD screen has worse resolution than the EVF and it is only 800 x 600 pixels. Could you give me some real suggestions please?
