Viewer/Canvas Aspect Ratio

I'm working on a short shot in 24p using 16:9. On the viewer when I play the files, everything is in its normal 16:9 size, but when I put the clips into the timeline, they insist on being rendered and play in the canvas as a letterboxed 4:3 instead of the full screen 16:9.

Anyone know how to make the canvas 16:9 so I don't have to deal with the rendering and I can see everything how it was intended?

You need to make sure your sequence is set to Anamorphic. Click the sequence in your browser and hit Apple-Zero. Check the anamorphic button and then ok.

I'll bet now, though, your footage is EXTRA squishy... select the clips in the TIMELINE and right click on one... go to REMOVE SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES and make sure ONLY distort is selected.
