VIDLED Camera lights...

Has anyone used either of these. Any recommendations? I need to order one today or tomorrow!

VIDLED is a member of this site, and I've heard nothing but great things about his product. I'm sure he'll respond to this thread very soon.

Personally, I haven't used the vidled yet, but when I need it, I can promise you that that's the light I'm going to go with.

Looks like LED vs Halogen products. The Smith-V does not appear to have a dimmer, as per the specs, the VidLED does. You should check the battery run time with a comparable battery used on both. The vidLED should do well.

The VidLED 6W - CoolLED - 8K model has interested me the most, for purchase soon. Comes with a gel pack, so you can get it back to indoor light color temp with the various CTO included. Barn doors would be a nice addition, though I will probably try and use some Cinefoil to achieve the same result.
