has anyone ever bought or seen the package availabel at Videouniversity.com by Hal Landen called How to Start a Successful Home-Based Business Producing Corporate Videos?

it looks interesting but I wanted to get some feedback on it. Any comments are appreciated. The link is http://videouniversity.com/course.htm

I will just paste my comments from the exact same question a week ago at DVInfo....

I spend a fair amount of time at the VU forums. If you want to learn about event videography (especially weddings) that is the best place to do that.

I also bought Hals Video Producer course, It is well worth the money, but a bunch of the technical info is dated. He talks about the time before NLE's, which is pretty useless, but the business and marketing stuff is timeless. Also, he has updated his book since I got it, so the info in that should now be up to date (I have not seen the new book yet).

I think you can't go wriong buying his course for teh money. Also, look for a book by Barry Hampe (How to make money with video?) which is also a great place to start. I paid about $5 for my copy, worth 100 times that.

Galt, thanks for the comments. I just shot a training video for a law firm and they were really impressed so I got pretty excited about doing more of this type of work. Mr. Landens course seems designed to show you how to go about getting this work. I will also pick up a copy of Hampe's book as well. Thanks again
