Today was a pretty cool day.
To start...
My dad wakes me up at 7:30 am...and i went to sleep at like 2 am...he tosses me out of bed and is like...YO! WAKE UP! WE LEAVING IN ONE HOUR!!
I go shower...then off to the expo.
It was a lot smaller than the DV Expo East at the Javits center in New York...this expo was at a Sheraton Hotel near Giants stadium. They had some pretty cool things there...They had some big name companies and some ive never heard of..like tricaster or somethin like that.
They had Canon...Sony...Panasonic...JVC.
But they didnt really show all that great cameras. Panasonic had the best cameras though. I held and used a working DVX100B...its soo awesome...and super light.
They had a working HVX which i was REALLY surprised at. That camera is...i cant explain it...jus phenominal...heavy as hell..but, omg it rapes...they didnt have any P2 cards with them...so I just looked through the menus and stuff...its soooooooo crazzy.
Nothing much else...Sony jus had the consumer HD handycam..its small...and their FX1.
Canon had the XL2...and some other little cameras. But I noticed something...Canon has their own 35mm adaptor for the XL2. Its a little screw on, onto the body of the camera..obviously you take the main lens off...then you put in any 35mm lens from like a Nikon or something on it..turn on the 24p mode..and you would really thing your shooting 35mm film.
JVC....all small little cameras...not those big HD cameras they had in New York.
That was about it. Nothing special...but the highlight of my day was messing with the Panny cameras.
